Prof. Valeria Pinchera

Full Professor

Valeria Pinchera is a Full Professor of Economic History at the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Pisa. Her research fields include the history of consumption, the economics of art, the history of the fashion industry, and Made in Italy. She holds a PhD from the Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. She has undertaken study and research stays abroad in the United States and Europe (Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles; Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Boston; Université Paris-Est-Marne-La-Vallée; Wageningen University). She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Economic History Association.

She has published in prestigious national and international journals such as Business History Review, Business History, Consumption, Markets & Culture, Histoire & Mesure e Rivista di Storia Economica.
